The Escala Business Club was pleased to be represented at the event« Luxembourg – Portugal Maritime Synergies: Innovation & Collaboration Opportunities », on 16 April, with the participation of its President, Michel Bastos.
Organised by theLuxembourg Maritime Cluster (LMC)in partnership with AICEP – Portugal Trade & Investment Agency, Fórum Oceano and the Embassy of Portugal in Luxembourg, with the support of the European Network of Maritime Clusters (ENMC), this event marked an important milestone in strengthening the ties between the Luxembourg and Portuguese economic ecosystems. AICEP and the Embassy of Portugal are valuable institutional partners of the Escala Business Club, further contributing to strengthening these connections.
This initiative aimed to open and strengthen business, cooperation, and investment opportunities between the two countries in the field of the blue economy..
The evening opened with a speech by H.E. Pedro Sousa e Abreu, Ambassador of Portugal to Luxembourg, setting the tone for a programme focused on collaboration, innovation, and shared opportunities in the field of the blue economy.
Participants had the opportunity to discover Portugal's strategic positioning in this sector, followed by presentations from companies such as Nortech AI, Lisnave, Prio and TecnoVeritas — showcasing expertise ranging from engineering to shipbuilding, including energy and digital innovation — as well as contributions from several Luxembourgish companies and entities active in the blue economy ecosystem.
For theEscala Business Club, participation in such initiatives reflects its ongoing commitment to connect its members with key institutional and economic players, while fostering strong relationships within the Luso-Luxembourgish business community.
