Escala Business Club successfully hosted on April 22 yet another edition of its ESCALA 4 Health cluster, dedicated to the theme “Caring for Minds. Rethinking Time – Public Health Innovation and Time Management in Healthcare Systems.”
This initiative brought together healthcare professionals, institutional representatives, and members of the business community to reflect on one of the most pressing challenges in today’s healthcare systems: mental health, particularly among caregivers, and the way time is structured and managed within the sector.
The event was led by DrTiago Félix Fernandes, head of the Escala 4 Health cluster, and featured high-quality contributions from Ricardo Marques, Member of Parliament, and Dr Margarida Cordeiro Carraco, whose insights fostered a rich and engaging discussion.
The evening was honoured by the presence of H.E. Pedro Sousa e Abreu, Portuguese Ambassador to Luxembourg, who kindly hosted the event at his residence, reinforcing the strong institutional support surrounding the Escala Business Club.
We were also privileged to welcome Martine Deprez, uxembourg’s Minister of Health, whose presence highlighted the relevance and timeliness of the topics addressed. As emphasized during the discussions, mental health — particularly for caregivers — is becoming a central issue in shaping more sustainable and resilient healthcare systems.
Beyond the interventions, what stood out was the quality of the exchanges and the diversity of perspectives, bridging healthcare, policy, and entrepreneurship. The event created a valuable space for dialogue, reflection, and connection among participants committed to driving positive change in the sector.
For the Escala Business Club, initiatives such as ESCALA 4 Health reflect its broader mission: to create meaningful platforms where business, expertise, and institutional stakeholders come together to address key societal and economic challenges, while strengthening the Luso-Luxembourgish community.
